In the last number of years we have had winners from Clare, Laois and Dublin.
This year we are delighted to have Dylan Carlos returning for the weekend. He will be judging the fiddle competition as well as taking part in some sessions. Dylan comes from a very musical family in Co Roscommon. Having grown up in the home of flute playing, Dylan took the road less travelled for a Rossie and took up the fiddle, but is still heavily influenced by the music in his local area. A member of the Knocknashee Ceili Band, Dylan also subs in with the group Gatehouse from time to time. He also performs and teaches regularly at festivals and workshops around the country and abroad, having played at festivals in England and France in recent months.
